Note: the Transaction Tax is not a VAT. It is charged once, when goods are imported into or manufactured in Gibraltar, rather than at each stage of resale. It does not apply to services at all. It replaced the previous import duty regime on 15 July 2026.
This calculator does not yet use updating exchange rates. You need to set the currency conversion rate yourself in the 'Your own rate' field. The values 'CUR_FROM' and 'CUR_TO' are used as the currency names.
By selecting the 'Taxation country' option for either 'From currency' or 'To currency', you determine which currency the VAT is calculated in. This can affect how the figures are rounded.
